Where WordPress costs come from
The WordPress software is free. Running a business site on it usually isn’t:
- Hosting that’s fast and secure enough for a live PHP site and database.
- Premium plugins and themes, often on yearly licences: page builders, forms, SEO, security, backups, caching.
- Maintenance: keeping core, themes, and plugins updated, testing that updates didn’t break anything, and fixing it when they did. Many businesses pay a care plan or agency for this.
- Your time, or the wait, every time something on the site needs changing.
Much of that stack exists to keep a live server safe and fast. Take the server away, and most of it goes with it.
What changes on SayPages
We rebuild your site as plain, static pages with the same design, page addresses, and domain. There’s no server, database, or plugin behind the public site, so there’s nothing to update or patch, and no maintenance plan to pay for.
What you pay instead: a one-time migration priced by page count, a monthly plan, and AI edits billed by what you use. Clicking and retyping text is free.
And changes stop being tickets
Describe what you want, like “Add our new service page, like the others”, check it on a draft, and publish. Every version is saved, so any change can be undone.
